MANILA, Philippines–Filipino fighter Mark Striegl has formally signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is set to see action on August 22 in Las Vegas.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Striegl announced the development, calling it a “dream come true.”
The URCC champion and Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in Sambo is taking on Timur Valiev of Russia in his UFC debut.
In a video blog, the Baguio-based Striegl also shared how he had less than a week to finalize his travel plans to Las Vegas amid the community lockdowns in the Philippines.
Striegl shared on his Instagram stories that he visited the UFC Performance Institute on Friday.
